Yaxhá is a Private Rainforest Reserve in Peten, adjacent to Tikal National Park and the Mayan Biosphere, a large reserve set up by the Government of Guatemala

The Foundation has been offered by the owners of a large portion of land, more than 115 Caballerias (5,150 Hectares) located at the north side of Lago de Izabal, in the mountaneous area of Sierra de Santa Cruz, one of the last oasis in the area of wild life and natural seed orchid of more than 20 different species of native trees. which most of them are under extinction due to massive deforestation. Unfortunately silviculture is still secondary to rapid resource extraction and the continuing colonization of the land, which makes it even worst.

CONAMA Is Guatemala's Enviromental Agency.
Inguat The Guatemalan Tourist Comission is the official office, conformed by a team of professionals who work in the toursim promotion and provide to the travelers all the information about geography, history, culture, nature and the different activities that Guatemala offers. Through the Guatemalan embassies INGUAT provides toursim information, brochures, maps and audiovisual material to travel agents and in general to all the people who require it. They would offer different seminaries for Guatemala's promotion.
